Quotes that get accepted online
Published on
A quote as a PDF attachment waits days for an answer on average. A quote as a link with an “Accept” button gets signed more often and faster. How that works.
The classic quote is a PDF in an email. The client opens it on their phone, sees a table that does not fit, and decides to look at it later. Later becomes next week. Meanwhile you do not know whether the quote was even opened.
A quote as a link solves three things. The client reads the quote in a layout that fits their screen. You see when the quote was opened. And accepting is one button and a signature, not printing, signing, scanning and sending back.
There is another advantage that is often forgotten: an accepted quote is a frozen document with a timestamp and the client’s signature. In a discussion about extra work that is worth more than an “ok” in WhatsApp.
In KompaniX you build the quote from your item catalogue, send it as a link in the client’s language, and an accepted quote becomes an invoice in one click. The client finds the quote later in their portal, next to the invoice and the payment.
