Why KompaniX charges per company and not per user

Published on

Most CRM packages charge per user. For a company of three that quickly means more than a hundred euros a month. We do it differently, and this is why.

Per-user pricing is designed for large organisations: more people, more value, a higher bill. For a small business it works the other way around. The partner who occasionally looks at an invoice, the bookkeeper who signs in once a quarter, the technician who only wants to see a quote: every extra person is an extra charge, so nobody gets an account and everything goes through one login or through screenshots.

That is bad for the administration (who did what?) and bad for security (one shared password). It is also why many small businesses stick with an invoicing package that actually does too little: at least it is one price.

KompaniX charges per company. A plan includes a number of users and roles that decide who may do what: admin, bookkeeping, support, read-only. Your accountant simply gets their own login. The price depends on what your company uses (recurring invoices, projects, automatic AI), not on how many people are looking.

What we do not do: unlimited everything for a flat price. The AI budget is capped per plan and charged per request above that, visible in the log. That keeps the price fair for those who use the assistant little and predictable for those who use it a lot.
